I found the comment to be interesting, thought provoking and well, I decided to share to see what other folks on this forum think.
"The world needs to realize the truth about islam. Here is what the muslims don't what you to know about the Koran. The violent commandments are written here with references for academic verification. Muslims, please respond if you believe these statements to be incorrect...
"...kill the disbelievers wherever we find them" (Koran 2:191); "fight and slay the Pagans, seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem" (Koran 9:5); "murder them and treat them harshly" (Koran 9:123)
"Strike off the heads of the disbelievers"; and after making a "wide slaughter among them, carefully tie up the remaining captives" (Koran 47:4)
"Instill terror into the hearts of the unbelievers"; "smite above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them" (Koran 8:12; cp. 8:60).
"slay or crucify or cut the hands and feet of the unbelievers, that they be expelled from the land with disgrace..." (Koran 5:34).
To islam:
Can you understand why the rest of the world is concerned? Do you understand why we have so much animosity toward you when the fundamentals of your "faith" revolves around violence against Christians, Jews and non-believers. Can you deny these statements exist in your book or do you just ignore these parts while practicing the non-violent sections (which I admit there are).
If so, you are not a muslim because the Koran states: "It (the Koran) is an invincible book. Falsehood does not invade it neither from before it nor from behind it, a revelation from a a Mighty, Praised." (Koran 41:41, 42)
There is no such thing as a moderate muslim since jihad is mandatory according to the Koran:
"Unless we go forth, (for Jihad) He will punish us with a grievous penalty, and put others in our place" (Koran 9:38-39).
You forget your history quickly. When Ghenghis Khan slaughtered the muslims in Iran in 1200 for killing innocent merchants, the Shah Ala ad-Din Muhammad beheaded the muslim ambassador but only shaved the heads of the non-muslims. You "moderates" will be slaughtered by the real muslims because they view you are traitors.
You are better off converting to Christianity. At least as a Christian, the real muslims will try to convert you to islam first before killing you. If you are a pagan, you will be tortured and killed. This is the core of islam.
Sure, there are peaceful "muslims" who follow a diluted version of islam. These are not real muslims because the Koran states that they cannot refute the violent commandments of mohammed and follow the peaceful ones. If you consider yourself a peaceful muslim, please read the New Testament. Notice the stark contrast in how Christians are supposed to approach people verses what the Koran tells you. After reading the New Testament, can you deny that the world would be a better place if people followed this Way?"
